Suitable for complex pastes

The RDS Solar Dryer provides optimum options for drying pastes on silicon solar cells. The drying system for AluBsF solar cells consists of a combination of multiple infrared zones and a central convection zone. This means that the temperature profile can be adjusted in a flexible manner, but still with the highest level of precision. For applications in HJT heterojunction cell technology, as a result of the lower process temperatures (<250 °C) on the one hand, but also the significantly longer dwell times of 10-30 minutes on the other hand, different demands are made of the drying system. In order to meet the requirements of the long dwell times (10-30 minutes), Rehm has developed special dryers for this technology. With the three-lane dryer and the modular PV magazine dryer, Rehm provides flexible solutions for different throughput requirements and low space requirements. For the optimum hardening of UV lacquers, Rehm has also designed a UV dryer specially for hardening UV lacquers and adhesives. UV coatings are solvent-free, and therefore particularly easy to process and environmentally friendly.

Low maintenance costs

We have designed our system to be particularly easy to maintain. For good accessibility, the upper part of the process chamber can be opened using a motor and the stainless steel design makes it easy to clean. By disassembling an insulated chamber cover, the infrared radiators can be removed easily if needed and replaced. The cooling line is also designed to be foldable. The easy accessibility of the drive system and the control cabinet is made possible by simply removing trim parts or opening doors with the right key.

Safe process

The process chamber of the RDS dryer consists of stable stainless steel housing and is designed for process temperatures of up to 400 °C. The heating system is divided up into multiple zones and each zone is controlled by an infrared radiator and can be set to the required temperature profile. Thanks to the integrated convection fan with additional heating, a homogeneous temperature distribution can be achieved in the process area and temperature reduction can be prevented.

Standoffs for safe wafer transport

Belt systems adapted to the needs of the process customer guarantee safe transportation which protects the product through the drying system thanks to the tried-and-tested drive and control concept. Depending on the requirement, the transport system can be fitted with different mesh belts, Teflon belt or a pin chain conveyor. Various track widths and methods for securing products, e.g. mounts with product edge support, are available and can be manufactured on a customer-specific basis.

 

 

 

 

Efficient cooling

The cooling zone consists of a nozzle field that streams an even flow of prefiltered cold air onto the product. Optimal cooling is ensured thanks to the optimised flow distribution. We can adjust the cooling line in accordance with the customer’s requirements and can achieve product outfeed temperatures of <= 40 °C with optional water cooling. In principle, the cooling lines are designed to be foldable, which makes them easy to access and clean.

Smart software for your manufacturing

Would you like to reliably monitor, manage and document all processes? The Visu 2 includes process tools, remote control and barcode connection options. A simple ‘wafer counter’ system is possible, as is full connection to an MES system for the intelligent collection of operating and machine data. The Visu 2 has an intuitive user interface, which considerably reduces configuration and operator training costs. Extensive documentation can be retrieved in just a few clicks. The Visu 2 also offers password-protected administration with several levels, language selection, data display and maintenance logs.
