Barcode Interface
If the barcode interface is used, the scanners are mounted on the belt upstream from the system and connected to the PC. 1D and 2D codes are supported. Each panel is scanned, and all relevant data is filtered out and used accordingly for product and process tracking, or for process disabling.

SAFI
Product and Process Tracking – SAFI: A data record is created for each panel during the soldering process. The data record includes all process relevant data. An OK flag for all of the data, the panel’s serial number and time stamps for panel entry and exit are additionally contained in the data record. Data to be documented can be selected within broad ranges. The data are made available in an ASCII file, and can be evaluated by most control systems.

Process Disabling
The oven expects information from the scanner for each panel, which it compares with the currently loaded program. If the panel and the program match up, the oven transmits an enabling signal to the belt upstream from the oven, and the panel is permitted to advance through the inlet. If the panel does not match up with the currently loaded program, the oven is disabled. The system can be configured such that the oven then automatically loads the matching program, or prompts an appropriate user entry.
