Connectivity - Communication interfaces in SMT production

9.30 – 10.00 a.m.

Markus Mittermair, Chair of The Hermes Standard Initative
Markus Scheid, Scheid IT

Digitization and automation have long been part of everyday life in modern electronics production. In order not to lose track of the increasing complexity of the systems, there are various standardized communication interfaces that help to meet today's requirements. Smart software tools are also designed to provide the best possible support for users in their daily work.

IPC-CFX and IPC-Hermes Standard - an example from the field

10.15 - 10.45 a.m.

Ronny Witzgall, SMA Solar

Using the example of a fully automatic conformal coating line with two Protecto coating systems, inspection modules and an RDS drying oven, communication via IPC-CFX vertically with an MES and horizontally via IPC-Hermes is illustrated. The focus is on all questions concerning configuration, process requirements and the possibilities of implementation and, last but not least, the experience gained in day-to-day production.

Innovative line concepts for conformal coating applications

10.15 - 11.45 a.m.

Gianfranco Sinsitra, Rehm Thermal Systems

We take you into the world of different coating processes for electronic assemblies. What is important and how can you achieve optimum results and the best protection for your assemblies? We show how you can avoid errors and reduce your CO2 footprint. Networking options and line concepts will also be presented.

AI - applications in the electronics production

11.45 – 12.15 a.m.

Thomas Mückl, Zollner Elektronik AG

The use of AI-based models in electronics manufacturing is seen as a great opportunity to generate optimization potential in processes or to make correlations visible that are not so directly apparent to the user. This sounds simple, but it is not . AI is not an out-of-the-box solution that you can simply buy or that a masterand can quickly work out. In the lecture, the stumbling blocks during the introduction and the experiences of the last years will be discussed with the help of examples.

Future Hot Skills: Success in the digital age

12.15 - 13.00 p.m.

Prof. Dr. Yasmin Mei-Yee Weiß

The world of work is undergoing fundamental change:
Not only are teams becoming more international and diverse, but collaboration with new technologies such as artificial intelligence and automated processes is also on the rise. Against this background, what are the "future hot skills"? What mindset and skills will be needed in the future? Prof. Dr. Yasmin Weiß will address these questions.
