Rehm Thermal Systems GmbH is setting the course for the next phase of its corporate development: Dr. Hannes Reinhardt is taking over the position of CEO and thus overall operational responsibility for the company. Company founder Johannes Rehm is handing over operational management and will support Rehm Thermal Systems strategically in the future as Founder & Chairman. Johannes Rehm will remain the company’s sole shareholder.
With this step, Rehm Thermal Systems is establishing a clear and long-term succession plan at an early stage. At the same time, the company is combining continuity with new momentum for its continued international and technological development.
International Leadership Experience in High-Tech Industries
Dr. Hannes Reinhardt has more than 30 years of international leadership experience and has held executive positions for more than 25 years. His professional career combines in-depth technical expertise with international corporate management, operations, sales, business development and technology.
His career has included management positions at SKF and Saurer Textile Components, followed by Oerlikon Solar, where he served as COO and Vice President. He subsequently took responsibility for global operations at Tokyo Electron Solar as COO and Global Head of Operations. From 2016 to 2024, Reinhardt served as Executive Vice President at Manz AG, with a focus on solar, battery technology and high-tech machinery and plant engineering.
Dr. Reinhardt has been with Rehm Thermal Systems since July 2026. As CCO, COO and designated CEO, he has already gained an in-depth understanding of the company, its markets, customers and international structures.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Reinhardt has been responsible for international locations and activities in Germany, Switzerland, Singapore, China, India, Japan, Taiwan and the United States, among others. His experience includes global responsibility for research and development, sales, operations and business.
Focus on Growth, Technology and International Development
In his new role as CEO, Dr. Reinhardt will be responsible from October 1, 2026, for the strategic and operational development of Rehm Thermal Systems. Key priorities include sustainably strengthening the core business, tapping international growth potential, further developing the organization and its processes, and reinforcing the company’s leadership in innovation and technology.
Dr. Reinhardt’s areas of expertise include strategic corporate development, the development and scaling of global growth markets, international operations and supply chain management, production and project management, as well as innovation and technology management. In addition, he has many years of experience in building and leading international teams and organizations.

Johannes Rehm Remains Closely Connected to the Company as Founder & Chairman
With the handover of the CEO role, company founder Johannes Rehm is stepping back from operational management. As Founder & Chairman, he will remain closely connected to the company and will support Dr. Reinhardt, particularly on long-term strategic matters, as a sparring partner.
Johannes Rehm will remain the 100 percent shareholder of Rehm Thermal Systems GmbH. The roles are therefore clearly defined: operational responsibility lies with the CEO, while Johannes Rehm will continue to support the company over the long term as founder, shareholder and Chairman.
